Last weekend, we had a 1,5 day workshop at uni - with mister Darius Gondor the great. Loved it!
It was heaps of fun and I learned lots of things - some about about having / not having a logo or an idea and other things about opposites and definitions. Sounds weird, is not.
Thanks Darius!
Check out my photographic diary thingy on Instagram as long as it´s there - I´m not sure how much longer I want to be part of it considering their privacy policies.
We´ll have to wait and see where this is going to take us - make sure you stay critical tho… :)
Artworks by Ruben Sanchez
Yay Ruben!
This Barcelona-based artist knows how to do the magic. Adorable!
I have made so many happy birthday cards over the years - some really silly ones, some with heaps of detail, but all with lots of heart involved.
Here are a few.
My discovery at a scrapyard in Ballina: really old golf clubs!
Obviously couldn´t all drag them into our van and take them onto our jolly ride, so here are some pictures of the beautiful type on the bottom.
Round 1 of various, partly handpainted, beautiful and curious signs found on our way through rural Australia.
Surprisingly often, car mechanics and car washes have stunning examples. Maybe because they rely on walk-in (drive-in) customers more than anyone else?
Enjoy!
My first etching since art school - and how much fun it was! Quite a challenge too: I had to write backwards in order to make the type readable.
Lennox Head, a small town on Australia´s east coast mainly known for its excellent surf was the last place I had expected to revive this very old printing method at.
Being from the same place as the master Albrecht Dürer, famous for his many impressively detailed etchings, I´m going to try it out some more when back home!
30 minutes for having fun with cats and pizza.
